Bookkeeper

Our team of professionals is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to complement our growing accounting team.  We are looking for someone who is energetic, loves working with people, and who is interested in being part of our business development strategy to grow the bookkeeping division within our practice. The ideal candidate will have bachelor’s degree in accounting and 2-3 years relevant experience providing bookkeeping services to multiple clients in multiple industries.

Applicants will be comfortable and willing to learn the skills to use any software on their own, ability to problem solve, take ownership of projects and meet deadlines.  Experience with accounting programs and reporting tools such as QuickBooks (online and desktop) is a must, Microsoft Office applications, and Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite is preferred. 

Responsibilities will include providing general day to day bookkeeping, performing month-end financial close and financial analysis, maintaining general ledger (journal entries, depreciation and amortization), diagnosing accounting errors, preparing quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, preparing state and local tax filings, researching tax compliance issues, and assisting in tax return processing during busy season (Dec-April). 

Position offers:  30 hours per week, increasing to 40 hours during busy season (Dec-Apr), flexible hours with work from home opportunities, competitive compensation based on experience, health insurance, 401K plan, and paid time off.
